Online Sports Betting – What’s Going On This Week MLB Baseball?
With Euro 2012 betting done, your favorite sportsbook will be loaded with Major League Baseball matchups as the sport will dominate the summer, at least until the Olympics start, which is why this week’s list of betting options is baseball-heavy.
Monday Angels Indians Odds (7:05 PM ET): Those that play at betting sites (which you can do here at your favorite site) know that a player can often struggle after a no-hitter or perfect game, and Los Angeles’ Jered Weaver couldn’t escape it, even going on the injured list. But he has been lights out since his return, and Weaver will lead the Angels out in Cleveland against the Indians and Ubaldo Jimenez, who has been all over the place in 2012 and you never know what you’re going to get from him.
Tuesday Reds Dodgers Odds (10:10 PM ET): Los Angeles misses Matt Kemp more than anything right now, and their slumping offense will host Johnny Cueto and Cincinnati on Tuesday night. Cueto didn’t have his best stuff in his last start in San Francisco, but online sports betting sharps know that he can toss a gem at any time. He’ll take on the Dodgers’ Chris Capuano.
Wednesday Twins Tigers Odds (7:05 PM ET): Detroit’s Justin Verlander was taken deep three times in his last start against Tampa Bay, which means that he’ll likely be in a mood on Wednesday, and that isn’t good news for Minnesota, where he has a 1.71 ERA and has allowed two homers all season. The Twins will counter with Brian Duensing, who is making the transition from the bullpen to the rotation.
Thursday Phillies Mets Odds (7:10 PM ET): Ask anyone who is doing MLB betting online if they had Philadelphia’s Cliff Lee winless at this point, and they’d be surprised, but probably not as shocked as they would be at R.A. Dickey’s exploits. The New York knuckleballer has given up five earned runs in his last seven starts, and they all came in one game. That doesn’t bode well for Lee’s attempt for his first win of the season the Phillies head to the Big Apple, and he should be the National League starter in the All-Star Game.
Friday Rockies Nationals Odds (7:05 PM ET): Washington’s Stephen Strasburg has lost his last two starts and last only three innings in Atlanta, but now he returns home, where he is 4-1 in seven starts this season as the Nationals prepare to host Colorado, who beat Strasburg at home last week. The Rockies will go with Josh Outman, who also didn’t make it past three innings in his last outing against Washington, and he could be up against an angry Strasburg, who makes the Nationals a favorite in your best online sportsbook.
