MLB Odds – Cueto, Bumgarner Meet In San Francisco

Online MLB betting players could be in for a pitching duel on Thursday night in San Francisco as a pair of nine-win pitchers will be going for No.10. Madison Bumgarner will lead the Giants out at home to face Johnny Cueto and the Cincinnati Reds.

Reds Giants Odds – Thursday, 10:10 PM ET

Cueto (9-3, 2.21) tossed seven scoreless innings in a 6-0 shutout of Minnesota at home, allowing three hits with nine strikeouts and a single walk for his fourth straight victory. Online betting USA players have been waiting for Cueto to fulfill his vast potential, and he is now arguably the best pitcher in the National League Central, although Milwaukee’s Zack Greinke may have something to say about that. The 26-year-old righty is 2-0 in three starts against the Giants with a 1.64 ERA, and he hasn’t given up a run in one start at AT&T Park, throwing seven scoreless innings. The Reds are at the top of the Central and a lot of it is down to Cueto, who has allowed two runs or less in seven of his last 10 starts this season and San Francisco is definitely a pitcher’s park.

Bumgarner (9-4, 3.10) didn’t have his best stuff, but online sportsbook sharps watched his offense bail him out for a change in a 9-8 win in Oakland as he allowed four runs on 11 hits over six innings, striking out six and walking one. Bumgarner was also taken deep twice, which hadn’t happen in eight starts and it was a rare subpar performance from a pitcher that many feel will take over Tim Lincecum’s spot as the No.2 pitcher in the rotation. The 22-year-old southpaw is 0-2 in three starts against the Reds with an 8.56 ERA, but he has been great at home, going 5-1 in six starts with a 2.27 ERA.

The Giants should be the favorites if you’re doing some MLB betting (which you can do here), but they’ve split their last 10 meetings at AT&T Park with the Reds, with five games going under the posted total. This could be a tough day for the batters as Cueto and Bumgarner have been on fire this season and more often than not, they’ve been frustrating for the opposing offense. Bumgarner would also like to put his last start in the past as he had to depend on his offense, which doesn’t usually happen. Cueto can also be hit hard, but if you don’t get to him early, you could be in for a long day. Look for the total to fall towards the under, but at home, give the slight edge to San Francisco when you are sports betting online.
